I tried using AI for every part of my job for a week: what broke and what worked

Last week I decided to run an experiment: for 7 days, I forced myself to use AI tools for everything — writing emails, debugging, planning, even small decisions.
Some things were magical (instant boilerplate code, summarizing docs). Some things were frustrating (hallucinations, endless re-checking). And some things surprised me — like how fast I got mentally lazy.
I came away with one conclusion: AI isn’t replacing us tomorrow, but it’s already changing how we think.
Here’s what I learned, what I’d actually keep using, and what I’d avoid at all costs.
