I built Kumbuka because Notion's meeting recording feature requires an Enterprise subscription and as a broke solo funder I don't want to pay for one more subscription. I wanted the same workflow—record, transcribe, generate notes, save to Notion—without the enterprise price tag.

Everything runs locally on your Mac. Whisper handles transcription, Claude Code generates the meeting notes (summary, decisions, action items, speaker-attributed transcript), and optionally exports to Notion via MCP.

It also monitors your macOS Calendar and prompts you when meetings are about to start, so you don't forget to hit record.

Tech: Python, local Whisper server (VoiceMode), Claude Code CLI, Notion MCP.

macOS only. Would love feedback on the workflow and what features would be most useful.
